As a body, JAMB is charged with the responsibility of administering similar examinations for applicants to Nigerian public and private monotechnics, polytechnics, colleges of education, and universities. To be eligible for the JAMB examination, candidates must have obtained the West Africa School Certificate, now West African Examinations Council, WAEC, or its equivalent, the National Examination Council (Nigeria), NECO.

When Is JAMB 2023 Registration Starting?

According to JAMB, all aspirants, including those registering in foreign countries, must register for the exam between Saturday, January 14, 2023, and Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

To register for JAMB 20233, you must create a profile code by sending your NIN number to ‘55019‘ or ‘66019’ as a text message. Alternatively, you can Dial 550191NIN# or 660191NIN# to get your ten (10) digits JAMB profile code.

How To Register For The 2023 JAMB Examination

To register for JAMB-UTME, candidates would need to go to a JAMB-accredited CBT-Center to register for the exam and collect their printout slip.

Here’s a step-by-step process for JAMB registration:

Step 1: Create a profile

This is done by sending NIN, then you add space followed by the 11-digit NIN to 55019 or 66019 as an SMS. Before creating a JAMB profile, ensure you validate your email address. This shows that your email is authentic and accessible.

Example: NIN 1234476767 to 55019 or 66019

After this is done, the candidate receives a 10-digit code on the same number the message was sent through. This 10-digit number is what will be used to purchase the JAMB E-pins.

Step 2: Purchase ePins

During JAMB registration, every candidate is expected to purchase the ePin in order to commence application. Payment for JAMB’s ePin-registration and the recommended reading text is to be done at the banks, CBT centers, and JAMB State Offices.

You can pay for JAMB ePin through your bank, ATM, POS, mobile transfer, or online payment on the JAMB portal.

Step 3: Complete your registration

After purchasing the ePin, the next step is to move to an accredited JAMB CBT center for online registration. Here, the candidate is expected to present the ePIN at any accredited CBT Centre for validation and completion of JAMB registration. The name of the candidate as typed by the candidate on his/her phone when registering the profile comes up automatically on the input of the e-PIN by the CBT center.

What Are The Requirements For JAMB UTME 2023 Registration?

Every candidate applying for UTME 2023 must provide the following:

When Is JAMB 2023 Direct Entry Registration Starting

JAMB Direct Entry registration would begin from Monday, February 20, to Thursday, April 20, 2023.
