  JAMB Direct Entry E-Pin For All Institution

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has declared the recommencement of the 2023 Direct Entry registration process across Nigeria. JAMB’s head, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, made the announcement during a press conference on Monday in Abuja. He stated that the Direct Entry registration will conclude on April 28th, 2023.

Professor Oloyede recalled that the 2023 Direct Entry registration initially began on Monday, February 20th, 2023. However, it was swiftly suspended due to the discovery of numerous tactics and devices designed to bypass and undermine the required A’ Level qualifications for Direct Entry candidates.

JAMB has now resumed the 2023 Direct Entry Registration, and Professor Oloyede highlighted that only 13 qualifications/certificates will be accepted for the registration process. These include:

  1. First degree
  2. University diploma
  3. Higher National Diploma
  4. Ordinary National Diploma / National Diploma
  5. Nigeria Certificate in Education
  6. Interim Joint Matriculation Board A’ Level
  7. Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board A’ Level
  8. NABTEB Advanced National Business Certificate
  9. NABTEB Advanced National Technical Certificate
  10. NABTEB GCE-A’ Level (2015 – 2021)
  11. Higher Islamic Studies Certificate by NBAIS
  12. International Baccalaureate
  13. National Registered Nurse / National Registered Midwife

Additionally, Professor Oloyede mentioned that the 127 candidates who had already registered for the 2023 Direct Entry before the suspension would be asked to return to their registration centers and update their applications.

 

JAMB Direct Entry Eligibility

Candidates with one of the following qualifications may be considered for admission by Direct Entry:

  • A minimum of O’level credit pass in five (5) SSSC subjects at not more than two sittings with at least two prescribed subjects for each programme (course of study) at the Principal or Advanced level.
  • Two passes [in prescribed subjects for each (programme) course of study] at the A’Level Examination awarded by IJMB, Cambridge, JUPEB or Institute of Baccalaureate with three other credit passes in the SSCE.
  • Credit passes in two major subjects in the NCE with three other credit passes in SSSC, NTC/NBC (mainly for Education /Technical programmes)
  • Minimum of credit grade in University/National Diploma or National Innovation Diploma with the appropriate O’level requirements. All submitted Advanced Level Qualifications are to be verified by a special committee, and any fake result shall attract prosecution.
